In the lead up to the Australian election candidates answer a series of questions, including on the issue of digital radio network rollout across Australia.

From the beginning of September 2013, 26 radio stations can be heard throughout the Netherlands via DAB+. Those stations include Dutch public broadcaster NPO stations Radio 1, Radio 2, 3FM, Radio 4, Radio 5, Radio 6 Soul and Jazz, FunX, 24Nieuws and Top 2000.

All the national public and private radio stations in the Netherlands are available in digital quality since 01 November. According to the spectrum regulator AT, all the broadcasters met the digital deadline in their licences. The radio stations are now available both in FM and DAB+.

Since Monday, there have been 26 services on air. The commercial services have national coverage, whilst the National Public Broadcaster (NPO) services are commencing with 70% coverage.

Australian Broadcaster Southern Cross Austereo continues to invest in the DAB+ system around Australia as its brand Triple M was added to the DAB+ multiplex in Perth.

The station, World Radio Switzerland (WRS) owned by the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) will not be able to keep its FM licence and will switch to DAB+ broadcasting and internet.

The third DAB+ network in German-speaking Switzerland is currently being built in stages. Work in Eastern and Northern Switzerland, as well as in the Bern-Fribourg region, has been ongoing since the beginning of 2013. It is scheduled for completion towards the end of 2014.
