This summer the VQ Blighty portable radio is on hand to ensure football fans can tune into all the latest action from the Euro 2016 whilst out and about. Small enough to fit into any fan’s pocket, the Blighty’s comprehensive digital radio reception is ideal for listening to matches and music.

The group will focus on improving the user experience for in-car DAB radios and understanding the impact of future technology trends. The Group will also consider how to support a consistent user experience from a broadcast data perspective, along with the potential for collaborative research into specific areas of the consumer experience that could support future design.

Digital Radio U.K.’s Laurence Harrison will chair the group that will look at the best practice examples available and identify actions that will help support wider action. The as yet unnamed service will be launched ahead of the station’s 40th anniversary in 2017, as part of Radio Cymru’s wider digital plans. It will be available every weekday morning during the pilot period to listeners online, on Radio Cymru’s website, on the iPlayer Radio app and on DAB radio in South East Wales.
