The national commercial radio stations are already being transmitted by DAB + and covers almost the whole country.

In 2013 Media Mobile launched the first German traffic information service "V-DAB premium traffic" on the national DAB + digital radio multiplex. Since then, the company has provided high-resolution traffic information in TPEG format, based on the data from TomTom.

From the beginning of September 2013, 26 radio stations can be heard throughout the Netherlands via DAB+. Those stations include Dutch public broadcaster NPO stations Radio 1, Radio 2, 3FM, Radio 4, Radio 5, Radio 6 Soul and Jazz, FunX, 24Nieuws and Top 2000.

All the national public and private radio stations in the Netherlands are available in digital quality since 01 November. According to the spectrum regulator AT, all the broadcasters met the digital deadline in their licences. The radio stations are now available both in FM and DAB+.

Since Monday, there have been 26 services on air. The commercial services have national coverage, whilst the National Public Broadcaster (NPO) services are commencing with 70% coverage.
