DAB Radio offers many advantages over standard analogue AM and FM radio. What's more, uncertainty surrounding DAB radio looks largely to have been lifted now that many of today's sets are fitted with DAB+ chips so that they can operate in those countries that have adopted the more advanced DAB+ format.

WorldDMB has joined with South African Broadcasting Corporation, the National Association of Broadcasters and the Southern African Digital Broadcasting Association to host a DAB+ Digital Radio workshop.The organizations say the event is a response to the announcement that the country will add 18 slots for DAB+ and will be geared to both public and private broadcasters. It will be held July 16 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the SABC M1 Studio in Johannesburg.
