New Portsmouth local DAB service is live

Solent Wireless starts small scale DAB service

Small Scale DAB testers Solent Wireless has started broadcasting on digital radio today. Test transmissions have been taking place for the last seven days, ready for Angel Xtra, Express FM, Mango Vibe, The Flash and 100% Triple Hits Radio to start today. JAMM Radio however will not launch until September.

Bridge FM to join DAB in Cardiff and Newport

The regulator said: “The variation would not unacceptably narrow the range of programmes available by way of local digital sound programme services to persons living in the area or locality for which the licensed multiplex service is provided”.
