Terrestrial digital radio in Germany has reached the large variety of programs, the critical mass that is essential for successful market penetration," says Dr. Rainer Hecker, Chairman of the gfu - Society for entertainment and communication electronics, Frankfurt. The availability of devices for the reception of DAB programs currently includes more than 140 different models. "This year we expect sales of around one million receivers for digital radio," predicts Dr. Rainer Hecker. Numerous innovations for the reception of DAB + will be the IFA, the world's leading trade fair for consumer electronics and home appliances, from 31 August to 5 September in Berlin presents.
