Digital radio roll-out on track in Netherlands

All the national public and private radio stations in the Netherlands are available in digital quality since 01 November. According to the spectrum regulator AT, all the broadcasters met the digital deadline in their licences. The radio stations are now available both in FM and DAB+.

SwissMediaCast: network expansion progressing

The third DAB+ network in German-speaking Switzerland is currently being built in stages. Work in Eastern and Northern Switzerland, as well as in the Bern-Fribourg region, has been ongoing since the beginning of 2013. It is scheduled for completion towards the end of 2014. Live traffic information via DAB+

In October, Garmin will begin feeding its navigation systems in Germany with highly accurate real-time traffic information, transmitted free of charge via DAB+. This means that owners of models such as the "3D Traffic Live" will receive bundled information from up to 160 different sources, and can map traffic problems to an accuracy of 100 metres. The new Garmin navigation systems will update this information twice as often as the older models.
