Recently reopened after extensive renovation, the KMSKA houses one of the most significant collections of Flemish and European art. Highlights include works by Peter Paul Rubens, Anthony van Dyck, and James Ensor, as well as notable examples of modern and contemporary art.

Rubenshuis
The former home and studio of Peter Paul Rubens provides a direct connection to the life and work of Antwerp’s most renowned Baroque painter. The museum features Rubens’ own paintings, works by his contemporaries, and period furnishings within a restored 17th-century residence and garden.

Red Star Line Museum
This museum documents the stories of emigrants who departed from Antwerp to North America between 1873 and 1934 aboard the Red Star Line. Through personal testimonies, archival materials, and interactive displays, visitors gain insight into the social and cultural history of transatlantic migration.

Cathedral of Our Lady (De Kathedraal)
A guided visit to Antwerp’s Gothic cathedral offers an opportunity to view several major works by Rubens, including The Descent from the Cross. The cathedral’s architecture and artworks reflect the city’s religious and artistic traditions from the Middle Ages to the present day.

City walking tours
Organized walking tours provide an in-depth introduction to Antwerp’s historic center. Led by experienced guides, these tours highlight the city’s medieval street plan, merchant houses, and architectural landmarks, offering context on Antwerp’s development as a major European port and cultural hub.
