A major expansion of DAB coverage and stations in the UK was announced today at the Drive to Digital event in London. This expansion will take coverage of local stations from 75% to 91% by end of Q3 2016.

Several Flemmish commercial radio stations are now being broadcasted in Limburg on DAB+.

You can tune in to jamesdean.fm in Prague (channel LD), Pilsen (channel LM/10A), South Bohemian region (channel LD/5D) and the Karlovy Vary region (channel LJ).

Sunrise Radio, Awesome Radio and Panjab Radio join 15 other services on the new UK Digital 2 multiplex.

Joan Warner, Chair, WorldDAB Asia Pacific Committee & CEO of Commercial Radio Australia told the audience at the ABU Digital Broadcasting Symposium, that in Australia, 64% of the population is covered by DAB+ with plans to roll-out to the remaining 36% in 2017.

Some stations are already broadcasting and moving to national DAB such as Planet Rock, Absolute 80's and Fun Kids.

In 2015, 952,000 digital radios were sold, which is 32% more than in the previous year.

The United Organisation of Blind and Visually Impaired in collaboration with RTI cz Ltd held a lecture on the current digital radio situation developing in the Czech Republic. DAB is the digital radio broadcasting standard used in the Czech Republic where listeners can enjoy over 30 services.
