Slovenia's Agency for Post and Electronic Communications has invited all interested parties, especially radio stations, to participate in the public consultation on options for developing terrestrial digital radio. In Slovenia, T-DAB has so far only been allocated for radio frequencies from the Krvavec transmitter on block 12B, used by public broadcaster RTV Slovenija to air its radio stations RA SLO 1, RA SLO 2, RA SLO 3 and Radio Si. The license runs until 12 November. The license will not be renewed and the regulator will call a tender for the national digital terrestrial network. The delivery system will be DAB+, while the capacity of the network will be at least 1.1 Mbps. To support the introduction of new technology, the regulator has suggested only a small amount of compensation for the efficient use of radio spectrum. If the introduction of the first digital network is successful and with full capacity, the Agency will then prepare a second digital network with national coverage. The deadline for sending replies and other materials is 3 July.
