Oslo - Mar 25, 2013 - Digital Radio Norway has signed an agreement with UK Radio Player and will launch its own version of the app for Norwegian radio stations.

TechniSat have released a digital radio-setter that can be used with an existing hi-fi system or an AV receiver for the reception of DAB + digital radio and FM.

The 2 million sales of DAB+ radios since 2010, announced yesterday, may be even higher as it excludes digital radios sold online only.

Standard features include 16" alloy wheels, DAB radio/CD player, Bluetooth® USB with Voice Control, Thatcham Cat 1 Alarm and the additional peace of mind with Ford Accident Management.

A press conference was held on the 27 March, one day before the launch of new programs going on air where delegates could meet broadcasters,technical experts and equipment manufacturers and learn about new devices on the market.

AS DAB+ radios sell like hot cakes, it seems sales may be even higher than reported.

More than 1.5 million people tune into digital radio services each week, according to the 2013 Digital Radio Industry Report, with total digital radio sales climbing by 192,974 in the most recently surveyed.

“Quite simply, digital radio improves the ownership experience for our customers, not only in terms of the enhanced clarity and strength of its signal, but also the breadth of station choice and the degree of detail in the information it provides,” said Director of Audi United Kingdom Martin Sander.

Official data relating to DAB+ digital radio in Australia was released by Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) today in the 2013 Digital Radio Industry Report, showing digital radio sales figures have soared to a total of 192,974* in a four month period, listening continues to grow with almost 1.5 million** people tuning in each week and nearly 14,000 new vehicles have now been sold with DAB+ digital radio.
