London Greek Radio (LGR) is expanding into Glasgow after being added to the DAB+ multiplex in the city.

Switzerland's Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) has put out a mandate for a four-year information campaign on DAB+, starting from 2019 and with a budget of 5.5 million francs aimed at raising awareness and promoting use of DAB+ digital radio.

The TechnoTrend P1 is a portable DAB+/FM radio with a 2.4-inch color display with 6-centimeter screen to display additional digital information such as station logo, played track or radio text. Operation is via two large rotary switches.

Carine Lea Chardon from German electrical industry association ZVEI: "From the point of view of ZVEI, the current conflict over the future of FM radio offers the opportunity to further raise awareness of the advantages of digital radio in public. Radio should not be left as the only infrastructure in the analogue."

To prepare for the radio programs to DAB+ in Switzerland, the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) has launched a public call for tenders for a marketing campaign to promote DAB+, for a period of four years starting in 2019.

Particularly praiseworthy at this point is the standard in the ACENTA equipment availability of digital radio DAB+, giving the inclined occupant a particularly good sound source available.

The model variant RX-D485 also has a DAB + tuner for digital radio reception on board, as Yamaha built it into the Aventage top models.

A new marketing campaign to promote DAB+ in Germany will run from 2 to 11 May. The campaign will be jointly promoted between Digitalradio Deutschland, ARD, Deutschlandradio and its members.

ARD, Deutschlandradio, private providers and other members of Digitalradio Deutschland will begin a marketing campaign promoting DAB+ from 2 to 11 May with the slogan "DAB+, because that's the way radio goes today."
