Bauer Media’s Absolute Radio digital station portfolio expanding

As part of an Ofcom consultation, Bauer has asked to remove Absolute Radio from FM in London and change the licence format to enable the launch of Greatest Hits Radio on this FM slot.

In parallel, Bauer plans to broadcast three additional decade services in London - Absolute Radio 00s on DAB and Absolute Radio 70s and Absolute Radio 10s on DAB+.

Absolute Radio will also expand to encompass country music with Bauer’s Country Hits Radio to be reintroduced as Absolute Radio Country, available online, app and smart speaker, and on DAB in London and a number of local areas.  

In Q1 2020 74% of listening to Absolute Radio was on digital platforms.
