Give us a brief introduction to your organisation and the role it plays in the radio sector

AVT is a leading manufacturer of professional audio equipment for radio and television broadcasters. Our main product areas are Audio Codecs, Telephone Hybrids and DAB/DAB+ systems.

What DAB+ products or services are you showcasing at IBC2025?

We will show our complete DAB+ Headend portfolio with audio encoders, multiplexers and monitoring decoders. Our main focus this year are solutions for emergency warnings via DAB+ networks which are becoming increasingly important. We will do live demos with the new EWS/ASA Automatic Safety Alert feature and with our Emergency Warning Break-In functionality. In our setup we will also show how emergency warnings can be easily integrated into a broadcast studio environment. And on top we will introduce a brand-new feature which enables authorised users to issue an emergency warning for a DAB+ Ensemble with a simple phone call.

What are you most looking forward to at IBC2025?

Meeting our business partners who have become friends over the years and to show them our latest developments. Exchanging thoughts and ideas how we can provide the right solutions for the future.

What’s your best tip for a first-time visitor to IBC and/or Amsterdam?

Although it might be obvious: Wear comfy shoes, you will walk a lot! Plan your schedule so you do not have to change halls for each meeting. Have your break outside if the weather is nice and get some fresh air.
