New DAB station Edge 3 launches in Edinburgh for country fans

A new 24-hour country music radio station is launching in Edinburgh on Friday 4 July. Edge 3, from Edge Media Group, will be available on DAB digital radio across the capital, as well as online and via the Edge Player app. Edge 3 becomes the third station under the Edge Media Group banner, joining Edge 1 (hit music) and Edge 2 (classic tracks), and forms part of the group’s long-term expansion plans. Speaking about the launch, Edge Media Group’s owner Jay Crawford said: “Country music has always been popular here in Scotland, but it’s especially massive at the moment. We’ll be featuring country music from across the decades and we hope to give fans a radio station they can listen to all day.”
