Within  the framework of transition from analogue to digital terrestrial network DAB + in Tunisia, the completion of the first phase of the DAB+ project was done during  2019 ensuring coverage of about 51% of the population.

The second phase of the network was completed by the end of 2020, bringing the coverage rate to 75% of the population. The third phase is expected to be completed by the end of 2022 with an anticipated coverage rate of 95%.

The fourth phase is foreseen to be completed within 2023, bringing the coverage rate to about 99% of the country's population.

Work is now ongoing to bring all industry players together, to develop a roadmap and timetable for the digitisation of radio, and to take the required actions to ensure the supply of digital radio receivers – both domestic and in cars.
