MediaCorp Radio, the public national broadcaster, first launched its DAB service in 1999.   It has since upgraded its infrastructure to allow for new multimedia and data applications, and is evaluating  the feasibility of introducing DAB+ services.

In June 2008, the commercial operator, Rediffusion, launched commercial DAB+ services on a subscription basis.  The line up included 22 audio channels, including stations from around the world and commercial-free services.  Rediffusion plans to add four new transmitters to its network before the end of the year.

MediaCorp Radio, the national radio broadcaster, announced in March 2007 that they have purchased new DAB multiplexer to upgrade their existing infrastructure, which was acquired for the launch of its DAB service in 1999. The new system will allow for new multimedia & data applications on its DAB platform. Various operators in Singapore have announced their plans for commercial mobile TV services, which will be roll-out in mid 2008. MediaCorp are also evaluating the feasibility of introducing DAB+ services.
