In Italy there are three national, six regional (DBTAA, Digiloc, RASx2 and DABMedia Vatican Radio) and 1 trial multiplex (CRDAB in Rome) on air. In total there are 92 DAB+ programmes simulcast on FM and 15 DAB+ programmes available exclusively on DAB+ digital radio. There are 7 data services. In addition, 2 TPEG networks are on air for test purposes (Euro DAB Italia, RAI WAY).

RTL 102.5 has invested in DAB+ and has one of the largest coverages (60% of population) and simulcasts stations to 6 million listeners on 5 DAB+ only programs, RTL Cool, Classic, Groove, ItalianStyle and ViaRadio on the EuroDAB consortium network provider multiplex.

In this country there are three trial national multiplexes and three regular and six trial regional multiplexes on air
broadcasting a total of 20 DAB+ simulcast services, four DAB+ exclusive services, one DMB exclusive service and one exclusive Data service.
TPEG (TISA) in Italy is InfoBlu (contents) and there are currently two TPEG networks on air for test purposes (Euro DAB Italia, RAI WAY).
