Revised timeline for rollout of DAB+ approved by Danish politicians

The new regional DAB MUX-3 will be implemented in DAB+ format in 13 regions and be ready for use in 2015. Also, the most listened radio channel in Denmark, DR P4, will move to DAB-MUX2 in DAB+ format. Finally, a switch between DAB-MUX1 and DAB-MUX2, followed by an upgrade to DAB+ will take place between 2016 and 2018.
The revised plan also sees:
- Continued digitalization of the radio medium in Denmark
- Establishment of new regionalized DAB-MUX3 in DAB+
- DR P4, the most listened radio channel in Denmark, will be available in DAB+
- Switch-over between DAB-MUX1 and DAB-MUX2
- DR must sell MUX1 to a private entity, maybe already in 2016 and at the latest in 2018 (A process will now be initiated)
