#RadioInAuto: Confindustria Radio Televisioni welcomes the European green light for the mandatory installation of FM/DAB+ receivers in vehicles

Confindustria Radio Televisioni welcomes the European Commission’s decision to recognise the validity of the Italian legislative initiative requiring all motor vehicles to be fitted with FM and DAB+ radio receivers. This is an important step towards ensuring that citizens have simple, free and immediate access to information, even in emergency situations or where there is no data connection. According to the President of Confindustria Radio Televisioni, Antonio Marano, ‘radio remains an essential safeguard for safety, pluralism and social cohesion. The European endorsement demonstrates that Italy has successfully defended a principle of public interest, even before industrial interests’.
