26.01.2012

26 January 2012

WorldDMB will participate in Le Radio 2012 to be hosted in Paris from 5 - 7 February.

WorldDMB’s workshop is tailored to the French market and has as its theme: “The digital radio experience: case studies for commercial broadcasters on going digital”.  The workshop will take place on Monday 6 February 2012, 15.45-16.45, Salon Parisien and is tailored to the commercial radio sector with commercial broadcasters presenting experiences and perspectives from Europe and Asia Pacific.  The workshop will highlight some of the findings of recent research that has been commissioned by WorldDMB on the business case scenarios for commercial digital radio.

Throughout the Le Radio event,  WorldDMB will  be demonstrating the latest DAB, DAB+ and DMB receivers on  Exhibition stand (No. 46).  The latest receivers covering all price ranges including Pure, Roberts, Kenwood, Grundig, Sony and Phillips will be on display along with a number of mobile devices such as USB enabled dongles, headsets and tablets with interactive screens.

This year’s Le Radio 2012 conference is significant in light of the recent report from Les Echos, which on 9 December 2011 reported that the Higher Audiovisual Council (CSA) made a formal recommendation to add DAB+ to the standard for terrestrial digital radio.

Make sure to drop by the stand to find out more about DAB, DAB+ and DMB.
