The Czech Telecommunications Office has issued its "mid-year report card" for DAB+ networks

Operators of digital radio broadcasting networks are approaching the deadline by which they must meet the development criteria set by the Czech Telecommunications Office (ČTÚ). While both nationwide networks operated by Czech Digital Group (CDG) and RTI cz have achieved the desired coverage ahead of schedule, most regional DAB+ operators face rapid development in order to meet the first development criterion: within two years of obtaining frequency allocations, they must cover at least 40% of the population in each region for which they have won frequencies. This deadline for regional DAB+ network operators will expire in February or March next year, depending on when they received the decision on the issuance of frequency allocations.
