Give us a brief introduction to your organisation and the role it plays in the radio sector

2wcom Systems is all about making radio broadcasting reliable and future-ready. We’re based in northern Germany and offer hardware and software for broadcasters and operators worldwide. We develop reliable solutions for contribution, distribution, and monitoring workflows. We support the full chain of broadcast contribution and distribution – across FM, DAB+, and web streaming – so broadcasters can manage all their platforms with one coherent approach.

What sets us apart is the mix: robust hardware like our IP, SAT and DAB families, combined with flexible software like our MoIN Audio over IP platform. Together, they give broadcasters the tools to manage complex networks and keep their operations running smoothly across different platforms like DAB, FM and streaming.

What DAB+ products or services are you showcasing at IBC2025?

Our showcase this year is all about making radio broadcasting more flexible, reliable, and efficient. Many of our IBC highlights are designed for a wide range of use cases. This includes sound processing, loudness monitoring, Kantar watermarking decoding, and more. We’ve also made strong progress on several DAB-specific topics, and visitors can learn more about them at our booth. These include:

  • DAB+ encoder in MoIN: our AoIP software core now natively supports DAB+ encoding, making it easy to integrate contribution and distribution in hybrid workflows.
  • DAB+ encoder improvements: including extended multiplexer interoperability, sub-multiplex editing, and PAD (DLS/SLS) import.
  • EDI with SRT: the ability to encapsulate EDI streams in SRT for robust transport from the studio to multiplexers and from multiplexers to transmitters, even over public networks.
  • Timing controls for EDI sources: Our DAB-4c and DAB-4s now offer offset monitoring, alarms, and automatic muting to ensure SFN stability across any transport.
  • eyera: our monitoring solution will support EDI as an input for audio monitoring, providing operators with a clear, real-time overview of signal status.
  • nettwark: our remote fleet control platform makes managing and controlling devices across distribution networks easier than ever, ensuring smooth integration and reliable operation.

MoIN-multiplatform

MoIN is a flexible software solution that supports centralized multi-platform encoding, enabling broadcasters to serve multiple distribution paths from a single platform.

What are you most looking forward to at IBC2025?

As a product manager, I’m looking forward to spotting new trends, getting direct feedback from the market, and talking with partners and customers about where the industry is heading. And of course, I enjoy being at the booth with my colleagues – sharing what we’ve been working on and, most importantly, listening to what our customers really need.

As a DAB expert, I’m keen to discuss practical challenges like system setups, and monitoring. I’m excited to see how our developments can support broadcasters in their daily work.

What’s your best tip for a first-time visitor to IBC and/or Amsterdam?

Make a plan before you start wandering through the halls. IBC is huge, and without a list of priorities, you’ll easily end up spending a whole day in just half a hall.

Use the public transport that’s included with the IBC ticket. The metro is the fastest way to get between the RAI and the city center. Or even better: rent a bike and enjoy some daily exercise while moving around like a local.

And don’t miss out on Amsterdam itself: the lively city center with its canals, excellent restaurants, and iconic beer bars is worth exploring. Just remember: IBC is intense, so make sure you also get enough rest to keep up your energy during the show.

Where can we find you in RAI Amsterdam, and is there a specific contact to ask for?

You’ll find us in Hall 8, booth 8.D81. You can book an appointment with your favorite 2wcom person here: https://www.2wcom.com/fall-news/
