George Cernat, senior director of automotive connected media, Xperi
Give us a brief introduction to your organisation and the role it plays in the radio sector
Xperi is redefining the in-car radio experience through its hybrid radio platform, DTS AutoStage, and its broadcaster-focused AIM solutions. DTS AutoStage delivers a globally consistent, metadata-rich experience to more than 12 million vehicles across 60+ countries, enhancing discoverability, engagement, and analytics for broadcasters—while remaining free to the broadcasters. AIM complements this by empowering broadcasters with tools to manage content, metadata, and audience insights, ensuring radio remains competitive in the connected car era.
What DAB+ products or services are you showcasing at IBC2025?
We’ll be showcasing:
- DTS AutoStage connected radio platform in a stunning BMW X3. You’ll see how DTS AutoStage can complement DAB+ by providing a consistent and enriched radio UX along with being able to dive into advanced DAB listener analytics with our Broadcaster Portal.
- AIM RAPID, our streamlined content management platform that helps simplify visual content delivery for DAB+ stations, boosting listener engagement and opening new revenue opportunities.
- AIM Player, our customisable premium audio platform that enables brands to deliver live radio, podcasts, and video content across devices through feature-rich apps for iOS, Android, cars, smart speakers, and connected TVs.
What are you most looking forward to at IBC2025?
It’s always exciting and energizing to meet partners and broadcasters from Europe and around the globe. I am looking forward to discussing radio’s place in the connected car and how we can help broadcasters take advantage of the big screens and connectivity in the car.
What’s your best tip for a first-time visitor to IBC and/or Amsterdam?
Getting a bike either from your hotel or from a bike rental service is one of the best ways to get around Amsterdam. It is safe, fun, and fast.
Where can we find you in RAI Amsterdam, and is there a specific contact to ask for?
We’re in Hall 5 at stand A72 (5.A72). You should ask for me (George) at reception.
