Give us a brief introduction to your organisation and the role it plays in the radio sector.
Established in 1969, Nautel has earned a reputation as a world leader in the design, manufacture, sales and support of high-power, solid-state RF products for radio broadcast, navigation, sonar, and industrial applications. More than 20,000 customers in 177 countries rely on Nautel RF solutions. In 2021, France-based digital radio innovator, Digidia, joined the Nautel family of companies, expanding Nautel’s existing digital radio offerings to broadcast customers.
What DAB+ products or services are you showcasing at IBC2025?
At IBC2025, Nautel-DIGIDIA will present a very compact DAB head-end with RF output. The head-end contains all DAB features and in particular our integration of the recently standardised Automatic Safety Alert (ASA) feature in DAB.
We have an DIGITRADIO 3 ASA DAB Receiver from Technisat on our booth to show the complete chain in a live demo.
What are you most looking forward to at IBC2025?
I am looking forward to multiple events organised during and around IBC. Some of these are organised by Nautel (we will have a canal cruise on Saturday evening and a digital radio event in our booth 8.D70 on Sunday) others are organised by our partners, such as the DAB+ conference session organised by WorldDAB.
What’s your best tip for a first-time visitor to IBC and/or Amsterdam?
In addition to Amsterdam’s world-famous canals, if you have time and of course weather permitting, go to Zandvoort Beach… it is the closest beach to Amsterdam.
