Get ready for a better DAB+ signal. Transmitter in Central Slovakia will increase power up to 15 kW ERP

The signal coverage of digital radio broadcasting in the DAB+ standard in Slovakia will improve again. This will mainly concern areas in the mountainous Central Slovakia region. According to SatelitnaTV.sk, the Towercom operator will soon officially increase the power of the Banská Bystrica - Suchá hora transmitter up to three times the current power. Therefore, the improvement of quality and not only of internal reception can be expected especially in Banská Bystrica, Zvolen and their surroundings. However, thanks to its excellent location at an altitude of 1,223 m above sea level, the transmitter can also reach more distant areas, even beyond the borders of Slovakia, especially in improved conditions. The new transmitter power will be up to 15 kW ERP. It will therefore be the most powerful DAB+ transmitter in the territory.
