Media DAB consortium to launch in Veneto and Sicily

Media DAB is a consortium of Italian local radio stations, more than 100 in number, that has been operating for years and is present in eight of the 20 Italian regions: Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, Tuscany, Latium, Campania, Basilicata and Apulia. These regions will soon be joined by Veneto and Sicily - including the cities of Palermo and Catania.


Veneto is one of the nine catchment areas for which the Ministry of Enterprise and Industry published, on 13 November 2023, the call for tenders for the assignment to DAB+ network operators of rights of use for the networks planned in the local catchment areas, whose deadline for submitting applications will be 12 January 2024.
