WorldDAB President: “DAB+ powers the business of broadcast”

“DAB+ powers the business of broadcast, and it delivers real value for listeners at home, at work and on the road,” said WorldDAB President Jacqueline Bierhorst in her keynote session opening WorldDAB Summit 2025. She noted that “DAB+ offers both security and success,” citing recent tests of the new Automatic Safety Alerts (ASA) in Germany and increasing interest in the system from other countries, alongside popular new DAB+ launches from both public and private broadcasters. In her speech, Bierhorst set out the strong, sustained progress made by DAB+ across Europe and beyond, with the “strong foundation” of the EECC.
