Wireless group announces nine new local DAB music stations, plus four Christmas-themed channels

Decline in radio listening after the digital shift

The total national radio broadcasting has decreased in the last year, figures published by the Norwegian Media Authority today. According to the measurements made by Kantar Media, there is a decline for the broad channels owned by the largest radio houses, and some increase for new ones.

At the WorldDAB General Assembly 2017, the WorldDAB Award for Outstanding Service was presented to Thomas Saner of Swiss Public Broadcaster SRG SSR. The award is recognition for Thomas’s work on the introduction of DAB and DAB+ in Switzerland and his long service on the WorldDAB Steering Board.
