The system features simultaneous management of up to four ensembles, SFN capability and synchronization with a GPS antenna signal as well as automatic following of dynamic multiplex reconfigurations of DAB ensembles.

Siegfried Schneider, chairman of the Directors' Conference of State Media Authorities (DLM), welcomes the initiative of the Rhineland-Palatinate Minister President Malu Dreyer, to require manufacturers of radios, to allow for all new appliances and the reception of DAB+.

The pilot project is supported by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and aims to explore how DAB+ can provide regional radio services in Germany.
