Germany considers banning sale of certain analogue-only radios

Latvian Radio to test digital audio broadcasting technology

Latvian Radio will be able to test the digital radio technology in collaboration with the Latvian State Radio and Television Center over a period of one year. The National Electronic Mass Media Council has decided not to offer the opportunity to commercial broadcasters during that time.

Australian radio remains strong; DAB+ expansion in the works

New research by Commercial Radio Australia has revealed that Australian radio (AM, FM and DAB+) has five times the daily reach of the combined streaming services (69.7% compared to 12.4%). The Australian Communications and Media Authority is examining proposals for expanding digital radio services in Australia. Right now, digital radio is mainly limited to State capitals, with experimental services in Darwin and Canberra.

Germany: Bauer Media also wants 2nd nationwide DAB+ network
