Alpine has launched the EZi-DAB-BT and EZi-DAB-GO , DAB/DAB+ receivers universal handsfree devices, that are easy for the consumer to fit themselves.

A recent interview with Laurent Finet, Director of production and innovation of digital radio at RTBF, provides some further insight into what is planned for digital radio in Belgium. “The main advantage is that this format (digital radio transmission) will allow radio to remain free in opposition to internet radio” said Finet.

As the clock continues to tick down to the 2016 edition of WorldDAB’s General Assembly in Vienna, the organisation’s president Patrick Hannon is taking a look back at three of the goals that were set forth at last year’s meeting. Bloomberg Radio has launched across Greater London. The new channel, broadcast on DAB digital radio

There are several ways to get DAB in the car. DAB+ comes as standard in most new cars but for those wishing to convert their current car radio there are a number of adapter products available on the market. These can be fitted quickly and easily.

Bloomberg have announced the launch of Bloomberg Radio London on DAB digital radio across Greater London. Licensed by Digital Rights Group, Bloomberg Radio will broadcast on the London 3 local multiplex to become one of up to 80 stations available to listeners in the greater London area on DAB digital radio, free of charge.

With less than 100 days until the digital switchover in Norway, Digital Radio Norway will be travelling the country in their caravan to educate the public about digital radio.

Bloomberg Radio joins London DAB via an agreement with Digital Radio Group, a consortium of Bauer, Global, Wireless Group and Carphone Warehouse. Traffic and travel reports will be broadcast every 15 minutes on weekdays from 6-10am and again from 3-8pm.
