WorldDAB workshop in Kuala Lumpur

At the end of November, Les Sabel of WorldDAB hosted a workshop on DAB+ digital radio in Kula Lumpur, Malaysia, with 28 attendees from 12 different countries.The workshop was hosted in partnership with the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) and the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU).

More digital radio stations on the way in Denmark

In Denmark the Radio and Television Board has appointed Digital Radio Teracom A/S as a new gatekeeper, who will enter into agreements with radio stations to broadcast nationwide commercial radio in DAB+.

Digital radio reception in almost 100 percent of South Tyrol

The RAS has further expanded the reception of digital radio statsions DAB+ in South Tyrol. The new stations in Enneberg, Gsies, Rabenstein, Rauth, Schlinig, Anterselva, Pragsertal and Kurzras were put into operation. This means that now 99.3 percent of the South Tyrolean population can receive 21 digital radio programs without interference.

Latvia launches DAB+ network

Recycle FM radios after Norway's national FM shutdown, center party says

Tthe Center Party is concerned about what to do with all the FM radios that will no longer be needed after the digitalswitchover. Norway makes radio history

Latvian Radio to test DAB+ for a year

Latvian Radio together with the Latvian Radio and Television Centre has announced the launch of year long digital radio trials. Uldis Lavrinovics from Latvian Radio said, " By using DAB+ we will be able to create new content and attract more listeners."
