The Cologne-based gay broadcaster "lulu.fm" announced that from the 1st February they will begin broadcasting in the entire Rhine-Main area via DAB+.

London II DAB multiplex owner Switchdigital has spaces available for radio stations wanting to broadcast in the capital. Due to a change in the line-up, Switchdigital has room for either one stereo DAB service or three DAB+ stations to broadcast to 5.3 million households in London.

A new piece of legislation that will pave the way for small-scale DAB to become a permanent fixture in UK broadcasting has received cross-party support. The Bill will allow the ten trials taking place in the UK to remain on-air and facilitate the creation of additional small-scale multiplexes. Small-scale DAB is seen as a cheaper way of distributing radio stations, particularly community stations across a much smaller area than traditional local DAB multiplexes.

The "big four" of British radio - BBC, Global, Bauer and Wireless - will open the European Radio Show at the end of January in Paris. WorldDAB is hosting a session on Tuesday, January 31 titled 'Digital radio in UK and Europe - Digital radio in the UK and Europe.'

The RAS has further expanded the reception of digital radio programmes via DAB+ in South Tyrol. The new stations in Enneberg, Gsies, Rabenstein, Rauth, Schlinig, Anterselva, Pragsertal and Kurzras were put into operation this week. This means that now 99.3 percent of the South Tyrolean population can receive 21 digital radio programs without interference

The Norwegian broadcasters started switching off the FM-network. The three major operators, including public service broadcaster NRK, have shut down in region 1 (the Northern county of Nordland) and a map showing current P4 FM coverage has a clear patch of nothing where distribution now is digital.

Nissan also adds features such as the NissanConnect with satellite navigation and DAB digital radio, rear view camera 360 degrees, rear parking sensors and LED headlamps.
