Czech Radiokomunikace strengthens DAB experimental network

Czech Radiokomunikace has added a new transmitter in Beroun to the network of Czech Radio's (CRo's) experimental digital audio broadcasting (DAB). Signal coverage and quality will thus increase. Through the experimental broadcasting by the CRo DAB Prague multiplex, the audience can tune in to CRo channels in Prague and Central Bohemia, with coverage at nearly one fifth of the population (17 percent).

DAB coverage growing in Scotland and across Germany

Glasgow, in Scotland, now has almost 70 services available on DAB digital radio, 30 of which have started over the past 18 months, following the launch of the Glasgow small-scale DAB mini-mux and the launch of national DAB network, Sound Digital. Switzerland launches DAB+ information campaign

Today in Switzerland, one third of households already have a DAB+ radio. To encourage others to switch to DAB+, Ofcom has launched a two-year information campaign to educate the public about the switch to DAB+. After a call for tender, the responsibility for leading the campaign was entrusted to the media agency Republica.
