According to figures from WorldDAB, over 581,000 DAB+ radio receivers (including cars equipped with DAB+) have now been sold in the Netherlands. Sales of DAB+ receivers grew in 2016 by 33% compared to 2015. The Netherlands is on track with its plan to achieve the fastest rollout of DAB+ in Europe.

The conference, which was held in Vienna, Austria brought together potential multiplex operators and broadcasters for the new nationwide DAB+ multiplex. The open tender for applicants to manage one nationwide DAB+ multiplex, and if required additional regional/local DAB+ multiplexes, will close on 12 June 2017.
