NRK prepares FM switch off in Southern and Western Norway

Norway is continuing its digital radio push with the announcement that there is less than a month until public broadcaster NRK's FM broadcasts in Southern and Western Norway are terminated. As of June 21, NRK will only transmit radio digitally to Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland, Rogaland, Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder.

Netherlands: 581 000 DAB+ receivers sold

According to the latest figures from WorldDAB, the number of DAB+ radios sold grew in 2016 by 33% compared to 2015. The Netherlands has already sold 581,000 DAB+ radios, therefore on track with its plan to achieve the fastest rollout of DAB+ in Europe.
