The Netherlands adds more DAB+ stations

In the Wageningen region, tests on channel 7B have been going on for several weeks and in Waddinxveen, starting last week, a new mux is on channel 9C. Primaton youth radio scheduled to start in mid-October

"Radio Hashtag+" (working title) today received approval from the Bayerisches Landeszentrale für neue Medien (BLM) for a DAB+ broadcasting licence on the regional network. The station will address 10 to 29-year-olds, who will be involved in the musical and content-related design of "Radio Hashtag+" through interaction and social media.

U105 now available across Northern Ireland on DAB

Belfast-based station U105 has gone digital and launched across Northern Ireland to a catchment of more than 1.5 million. Station Director, Peter McVerry, said it was an historic day for the station: “Access to digital sets and an improved transmitter network across Northern Ireland meant the time is now right for U105 to go onto DAB.”

Five applications for DAB+ transmission in Bavaria

According to the Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien (BLM), five applications were submitted to the tender for transmission capacities in the nationwide DAB+ radio service in Bavaria. These are the programs egoFM, RadioArabella, RadioTEDDY, RTT in the mix and the STAR FM.
