The new director of Norway's Media Authority, Mari Velsand, writes on the progress of the country's transition to DAB, and the timeline for what is to come.

London isn't short of radio stations. With a DAB radio, there are about 120 to choose from. As a result of DAB having a different coverage area and vastly increased choice, those expensive FM licences are slowly beginning to lose their value.

Standard equipment for the GT S includes 19-inch front and 20-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tyres, adaptive suspension, electronic rear diff, performance exhaust, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, air-conditioning, Nappa leather seats, a 10-speaker Burmester sound system, an 8.4-inch infotainment system, navigation, Bluetooth, DAB+ and WiFi hotspot.

The DAB+ transmission has been expanded, as the first 19 FM systems have been switched off in South Tyrol. Now 99.5% of the South Tyrolean population can receive 22 radio programs with DAB+.

Stations Antenne 1, Regenbogen Zwei and Rock Antenne will be received by DAB+, with connection to the stations scheduled for the spring.

With "antenne 1", "Regenbogen Zwei" and "Rock Antenne", three more radio programs in Baden-Württemberg can now be received via DAB+.

The RAS has further expanded the DAB + radio network with the commissioning of transmission systems at the Melago and La Valle stations. The RAS now serves 99.5% of the Alto Adige population with 22 high-quality radio programs.
