WorldDAB has announced the line-up of speakers and sessions for its upcoming DAB+ Digital Radio Workshop, set to take place in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, March 5 right before ABU's 2018 Digital Broadcasting Symposium. With more and more broadcasters implementing DAB+ in Asia Pacific, the workshop, entitled “DAB+ in a multiplatform world,” will discuss “how DAB+ can secure a strong future for radio.”

The range of commercial radio stations via DAB+ in Berlin and the surrounding federal state of Brandenburg will be expanded considerably. In total, the regional media council MABB gave 23 licenses to radio stations to broadcast via DAB+ in Berlin and its surroundings.

The European Broadcast Union (EBU), the European Digital Radio Alliance (EDRA) and WorldDAB issued a joint statement on interoperability of digital radio on Monday, 5 February.
