KRRiT aims to boost DAB+ in Poland

The Polish Broadcasting and Television Council (KRRiT) has proposed it would like to temporarily reduce DAB+ licence costs for private broacasters to address the lack of available FM frequencies in Polish cities. Through a public hearing, KRRiT is calling on participants to comment on its new pricing policy by March 18.

DAB here now: should digital switchover be back on radio agenda as 50% landmark looms?

UK radio executives have urged caution over digital radio switchover, following the last RAJAR report showing digital listening figures had accounted for a record 49.9% of all UK radio listening in Q4 2017. The government had previously stated that 50% would be when FM would potentially be switched off in favour of DAB, as long as DAB had 90% coverage of the UK population.
