New DAB+ marketing campaign to be launched in Germany

ARD, Deutschlandradio, private providers and other members of the association Digitalradio Deutschland will jointly promote DAB+ as part of a new campaign between 2 and 11 May. Among other things, TV and radio spots, print and online motifs as well as programme information should belong to the campaign.

New information campaign tenders open on DAB+ in Switzerland

To further promote DAB+ and promote the listening to digital radio in Switzerland, OFCOM is launching a second information campaign aimed at increasing DAB+ receivers in homes and vehicles. The campaign runs from 2019 to 2022, and is scheduled to begin in autumn 2018.

London Greek Radio extends broadcast to Scotland

Last week it was announced that London Greek Radio had been added to the DAB+ multiplex in Glasgow, extending its coverage to an estimated Greek and Cypriot population of more than 50,000. LGR is believed to be the first ethnic London radio station to cross the border into Scotland.

Australia's Edge Digital notches up 100000 listeners in Sydney in latest survey

ARN station Edge Digital has confirmed more than 100,000 listeners now tune into their DAB+ offering, as per results from the latest GfK survey in Australia. The findings report that out of 698,000 total DAB+ listeners, 106,000 tuned into Edge Digital. Second was ABC Jazz (up to 95,000 listeners from 77,000) and third was SCA's Triple M Great Hits (81,000 from 68,000).

New financing campaign to promote DAB+ in Switzerland

In order to make DAB+ even better known and to promote listening to digital radio, OFCOM Switzerland is launching an information campaign aimed at further increasing the number of DAB+ radio receivers in homes and vehicles. The campaign runs from 2019 to 2022 and the budget of 5.5 million francs will be financed from the reception fee or the new levy for radio and television from 2019 onwards.

South African regulator ICASA initiates digital radio discussion paper
