Slovenian broadcasters show high interest in DAB+

Slovenia's R1 DAB+ multiplex is now full with the last remaining slots being awarded by the media regulator AKOS to Radio Aktual and Radio City. There were 11 applicants - four new stations and seven already broadcasting on FM. Once on air, and in case of any remaining space, a further licence could be awarded.

Media Broadcast wins contract for digital radio coverage in Kiel, Lubeck and Sylt

Media Broadcast has won a contract following a tender by the Media Authority for digital radio coverage in Kiel, Lubeck and Sylt. The contract is valid until 2022. Media Broadcast will cooperate with the Media Authority in a pilot project to test the broadcast of local and regional programmes via DAB+.

Swiss cable network operator opts for Observa Monitoring solution

The monitor and analyser software will be hosted on independent industrial PCs in a 1+1 redundancy scheme for complete network assurance.

NDR going ahead with expansion plans in Lower Saxony

French regulator launches new call for tenders for 15 sites

The French regulator CSA has launched a new call for tenders for DAB+ licenses across a number of locations in France. Specifically, the call for tenders concerns the cities and regions of Amiens, Angers, Brest, Caen, Clermont-Ferrand, Limoges, Le Mans, Metz, Montpellier, Nancy, Nîmes, Perpignan, Reims, Rennes and Troyes. Interested parties should submit their applications to the CSA by 6 November 2019.
