DAB+ officially launches in French-speaking Belgium

Ofcom awards Channel Islands DAB to Bailiwick Broadcasting

Bailiwick Broadcasting - a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nation Broadcasting - has won the bid to provide a local DAB digital radio multiplex to the Bailiwicks of Jersey and Guernsey for a period of 12 years. The company plans to broadcast 25 services to Jersey, Guernsey, Herm, Sark and Alderney using three transmitters.

Community radio listening on the rise in Australia

According to a report from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia, there are now 5.97 million listeners a week on community radio's 450 stations, compared to 5.3 million in July 2017. Of these, over thirty percent tune in via DAB+ digital radio.

RTBF to operate two DAB+ multiplexes in Belgium

According to the latest frequency plan, the Belgian regulator CSA, has authorised public broadcaster RTBF to operate two DAB+ digital radio multiplexes. The multiplexes will be operated by RTBF for a period of nine years, starting from 1 November 2019.
