DAB+ has officially launched in French-speaking parts of Belgium, including the capital Brussels. A ceremony celebrating the launch of regular services was held at the offices of the CSA, the French-speaking regulator in Belgium.

Ofcom has received over a hundred replies in its consultation on the future of small scale DAB licensing. One of the proposals by Ofcom is to limit every Small Scale DAB multiplex to DAB+ transmissions.

Bailiwick Broadcasting - a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nation Broadcasting - has won the bid to provide a local DAB digital radio multiplex to the Bailiwicks of Jersey and Guernsey for a period of 12 years. Czech Radio's DAB station, Radio DAB Praha, is launching a new advertising campaign in the Czech Republic. The campaign, which features three different visual ads with the motto "we will guide you" will feature in outdoor spaces including metro stops.

According to a report from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia, there are now 5.97 million listeners a week on community radio's 450 stations, compared to 5.3 million in July 2017. Of these, over thirty percent tune in via DAB+ digital radio.

According to the latest frequency plan, the Belgian regulator CSA, has authorised public broadcaster RTBF to operate two DAB+ digital radio multiplexes. The multiplexes will be operated by RTBF for a period of nine years, starting from 1 November 2019.
