The European Broadcast Union (EBU), the European Digital Radio Alliance (EDRA) and the Digital Radio World Association WorldDAB have issued a statement on the interoperability of the radio. The three parties are working to ensure that all future radio models sold in the EU have an interface to DAB+.

The new Urban Music format PELI ONE plans to broadcast via DAB+ in Berlin and Hamburg as of spring, and the program can also be heard over the internet.

PELI ONE - Urban Music Radio has been granted permission to begin broadcasting in DAB+ in Berlin, following approval by the city's media authority Media Council of Medienanstalt Berlin-Brandenburg (MABB) last week.

On 1 February 2018, the youth radio program Radio Galaxy Bayern began broadcasting in the DAB+ multiplexes in Munich (channel 11C) and Augsburg (channel 9C).
