DTS partners with Radioplayer, RCS to improve in-car experience

South Africa on path to DAB+ radio

South Africa is making new moves to implement digital radio services, after regulator ICASA published a discussion document on the subject, giving the public until early June to comment. "The overall summary of findings indicated the DAB+ trial achieved a large portion of the total scope of the trial. The DAB+ technology proved to be easy to implement, in that it is power and spectrum efficient," ICASA said during a testing phase for DAB+ in November 2013.

Russia's State Commission for Radio Frequencies (GKRC) is considering the introduction of DAB+, after the issue was initiated by the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network" (RTRS) during a meeting last Monday. According to the plans, GKRC will allocate frequencies in the range of 174-230 MHz for the construction of DAB+ networks.

Tivoli ushers in the spring with its new limited-edition Bluetooth speakers
