Consumption of radio has risen in Australia on DAB+, AM and FM, according to new findings by Edison Research. Commercial Radio Australia CEO Joan Warner said: The results reveal 88% of people having listened to an AM/FM/DAB+ either via free to air broadcast or online in the last week. This is three times as many people than the second highest audio platform."

Switzerland is on its way to being the second country in the world to discontinue analogue FM broadcasts. The Swiss Federal Office of Communications recently announced a four-year information campaign on DAB+ (from 2019) so that the population can be prepared in time for the switch from VHF to DAB+.
