Digital listening continues growth following Q2 Rajar figures

Georgia Taunton, group business director at Radioworks, said the positive digital results bode well for commercial radio: "It’s immensely pleasing to see yet another solid set of results for digital radio, remaining above 50% of the adult population. Digital-only stations boost digital listening in the UK, according to new RAJAR data

Digital listening has increased year on year to 50.2% share, up from 48.7% in Q2 2017, according to RAJAR Q2 2018 data released on Thursday. Overall digital listening hours grew by 1.3% or 6.4 million hours compared to Q2 2017, while DAB digital radio listening grew by 3.3% to account for 36.3% of all radio listening and 72.3% of all digital listening.
