Den Haag FM starts broadcasting via DAB+

The local broadcaster in the Haag, Den Haag FM has started broadcasting via digital terrestrial DAB+. Wiljan Pongers, Head of Technology at Den Haag FM said "It is great to see that the possibility of broadcasting on DAB+ is actively supported by the Municipality of The Hague."

DAB criticism subsides

NRK has sent a report to the Ministry of Culture in Norway, showsing that the transition to DAB+ in Nordland was completed without major problems, silencing some of the critics to the digital switchover. The report shows how the population of Nordland was exposed to an average of 27 messages about the upcoming digital switchover through a variety of channels such as radio, TV and the internet.

Czech Radiokomunikace strengthens DAB experimental network

Czech Radiokomunikace has added a new transmitter in Beroun to the network of Czech Radio's (CRo's) experimental digital audio broadcasting (DAB). Signal coverage and quality will thus increase. Through the experimental broadcasting by the CRo DAB Prague multiplex, the audience can tune in to CRo channels in Prague and Central Bohemia, with coverage at nearly one fifth of the population (17 percent).

DAB coverage growing in Scotland and across Germany
