DAB+ continues to grow around the world, with the Communications Authority of Kenya launching a new trial broadcasting 14 radio programmes in Nairobi in February. Meanwhile a second trial multiplex in the Republic of Ireland is expected to launch soon, with up to nine additional high powered transmission sites covering more than 85% of the population. Lithuania has also this month signalled its intention to launch DAB+.

WorldDAB Project Director Bernie O’Neill said: “We’re delighted to welcome our new members, from automotive giants, broadcasters and network operators, to equipment manufacturers and national regulators spanning Asia, Europe and beyond, reflecting the wide range of our activities. We are proud to bring the whole sector together, promoting the benefits of DAB+ digital broadcast radio around the world.”
